Our little sweet pea turned three months yesterday. The time is really flying by – in some ways she feels so much older than 3 months to me but in other ways it feels like she just got here.
Her personality is starting to shine through more and more. She is a happy morning person, just like her Mommy. At the same time, it take her a few minutes to wake up in the morning, like her Daddy. She loves to smile and is trying to laugh. She smiles the most in the mornings which is my favorite time with her. She has just moved in to 3-6 month old clothing. She seems to be growing at an average pace – she is getting some chub on her but not too much.
She is starting to use her hands more and more. This last weekend was the first time we ever saw her reach out for something, with purpose, and grab on to it and keep holding it. A big milestone in our little one’s life! She is starting to use her hands more and more. She is also pretty vocal – since she can’t talk yet she makes do with a lot of grunting (which cracks me up). She grunts low, she grunts high – she grunts in all different tones. She loves to grunt.
She has started this new thing, when she does sitting wherever she is, she arches her back and sticks out her chest and tries to wiggle up and out of whatever seat she is in. I don’t mind much except when she in her bumpo – on the kitchen counter. She loves to sit in her bumpo and watch me cook. She can sit there happily for 45 minutes at a time.
Alison is also learning the art of spitting up. For example, I had her laying on my this weekend, practicing her tummy time when she looked down at me, smiled and then spit up – and not just a little bit! It got all over my hair, all over the sheets on the bed, down my shirt and all over my neck. What a little lady we are raising
